    Hello all,

I have a WRT54G v3 with the 4.30.5 Linksys firmware hooked to a BEFCMU1 cable modem. As of late, I have an odd issue - whenever I am using just Mozilla, chat programs, etc, all is well. The instant I fire up Forte Agent to read the news groups and begin to download a file, and/or retrieve headers, the connection dies - lights on the both units still continue to function etc, but computer will not connect, no web, chat, nothing. If I unplug the modem for a moment, the connection will come back, but if Agent is still running, it will die again until I close out of agent. I've not had this problem before and I've tried everything I can think of including moving the router and cable modem apart and away from everything else. Router is set to all deafult settings for DHCP, and wireless is currently turned off (though i've tried turning it on, too). Running XP with all current patches. I've had this modem and roture for almost 2 years now and never had this issue before...

Does the problem occur when PC connected directly to cable modem without router?
