Everythin seems to work on my WRT54G, the LEDs are green, the router is connected to the internet, my computer is connected to the router, and it's possible to login on to the router (using on my browser).

The only problem is that my internet does not work. I have a cable modem, the firewalls are all switched off, the computer is connected via cable to the router, I use CAT5 cables, and sometimes the router seems to work, but eventually he disconnect the internet. It is very strange because I haven't read about this problem, and my IP adressess seems to be good (I work with automatic DHCP). So everything works except for the bloody internet.

And another problem: I switched my WMP54 from one computer to another (just to check if it was the computer that gave the problems), when I switched it back I couldnt get the thing installed. Weird.

I used all my knowledge and need yours. Thanks a lot.

you may need to either clone the mac address in the WRT54G router or boot up all hardware like so.

power on Cablemodem, then Router, then PC. most cablemodems need to be rebooted if your adding a new device with a diferent mac address.

when boting up make sure cablemodemhas gone through its self diagnostics before powering the router on.

I tried to clone the mac adress but it didn't work. I also tried to reboot all hardware and that didn't work either. Anyway, my ethernet card still gets the right IP adress, but no internet.
