    Hi,

On my E3000 the "Internet" light (see attached pic of which light I mean) doesn't come on to indicate the connect/disconnect state.
Does anyone know a script or similar that would check the WAN status and represent that via this light?
I'm running Shibby's build, though I assume the situation is the same for all builds.

    Thanks

You may have to re-attach the picture. It's not showing.

It's the one that looks like a planet, 3rd from right in this picture:

I should say I am using a 3G modem as WAN... but from my recollection it didn't light when I was using an ethernet WAN either.
Are other people having that light work correctly?

Works for me on PPoE. May be it's the 3G modem, or just a dead LED.

So for you it is ON when the internet is connected and OFF when disconnected - and when I say disconnected I mean when the internet is down, not just when the ethernet cable is removed? If so I guess it's just a 3G modem glitch...

Yes. Switched off the ADSL modem and the LED for the "saturn-shaped" icon went off. Switched on the ADSL modem, the LED on the icon came back on.
