IPFrog Router + WRT54GS with one subnet?

    I want to use the WRT54GS Router as a bridge (like an AP) between the LAN and the WLAN interface without using the WAN interface like this:
    (Internet) IPFrog (192.168.0.x) <---> (192.168.0.x) WRT54GS (192.168.0.x) <---> (192.168.0.x) Notebook (WLAN)

    Is this configuration possible?
    If the answer is yes, how do I have to configure this?

    Yes, just connect the IP Frog to one of the WRT54GS's LAN ports, this makes it, in effect, an AP with a 4 port switch ;)

    Yes, but when I do this my WLAN performance is very poor (copying a file from the IPFrog to my Notebook <300 KByte/s). If i use the WRT54GS as a router i get >900 KByte/s. The IPFrog uses a 10MBit/s NIC ;-). Any ideas why the performance as an AP is so poor?

    Copying a file from where?

    What speed is your internet connection?

    Were both those tests done when connected wirelessly?

    (Internet) IPFrog (192.168.0.x) <---> (192.168.0.x) WRT54GS (192.168.0.x) <---> (192.168.0.x) Notebook (WLAN)

    Copying from the IPFrog local Harddisk (SAMBA) to the local HDD of the Notebook with WLAN.

    And how was the "WRT54GS as a router" test done?

    The same way only that the IPFrog was connected to the WAN interface(192.168.0.x) of the WRT54GS and the WLAN interface used the 192.168.1.x network.

    Uhm, don't know then, performance should be the same regardless whether the WAN or LAN port is used :?
