Greetings I have been writing about IP logging failures for some time - since V23 went from alpha to beta. Bugtak usually just closes them out - unable to re-produce. Maybe someone here will see something.. I have had V23 11/23 build up and running for a day. No problems. IP logging enabled - syslog messages going to log host. Today, I checked the dnsmasq box on the setup screen and saved settings. Router rebooted - when it came back up - no more IP logging BusyBox v1.01 (2005.11.18-11:12+0000) Built-in shell (ash) Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands. ~ # iptables --list Chain INPUT (policy ACCEPT) target prot opt source destination Chain FORWARD (policy ACCEPT) target prot opt source destination Chain OUTPUT (policy ACCEPT) target prot opt source destination ~ # date Fri Nov 25 17:23:35 UTC 2005 ~ # uname -a Linux yak 2.4.32 #181 Wed Nov 23 14:48:28 UTC 2005 mips unknown ~ # ping www.yahoo.com PING www.yahoo.akadns.net (18.104.22.168): 56 data bytes 64 bytes from 22.214.171.124: icmp_seq=0 ttl=52 time=16.7 ms 64 bytes from 126.96.36.199: icmp_seq=1 ttl=52 time=17.2 ms --- www.yahoo.akadns.net ping statistics --- 2 packets transmitted, 2 packets received, 0% packet loss round-trip min/avg/max = 16.7/16.9/17.2 ms ~ # exit I did an 'iptables --list' and there are NO table entries Logging no longer functions and I assume no access restricitons or anything else based on the iptables is working Brainslayer - do you see the screen print?? Can you explain the empty IPtables??
