    Hi,

    noob here.

Is it possible to run a web server from WRT54G ?

It is a Linux computer after all and has more than enough power to do it..

it's running a web server out of the box... web based config :)
if your looking to run a server with your own content, it has been done, but keep in mind the limited space and power of the box unless you plan on doing a hardware mod to add room you won't be serving up much....
I think jagboy was runing a server off his router for the last few months.

    Yes, you are correct.
And yes, I would like to run my own content, and I don't intend to serve much..

    jagboy, where are you? :D

I think if you install dd-wrt you can just put your files in a particular folder and it'll serve them up...
jagboy is like the #1 poster on the forum so he'll probably end up responding, he always does

he'll probably tell you to run dd-wrt too though, thats what he set his up on...
i;ve never used hyperwrt myself so I couldn't tell you how to do it in that, or if it's even possible without building your own web server theres some ipkg web server software I know you can install in openwrt, but I don't know anything about hyper myself...
