I have this old antenna on the roof of my house that was used for TV way back, and I was hoping to put it to some use. Would it be possible to hook it up to my wireless router? If so, what would I need? Thanks.

I stripped the insulation (about 6 inches) from my old twin lead TV wire and wrapped it around each antenna of my WRT54G. I get cookies, pie, and beer on my front porch every once in a while from appreciative neighbors! My SSID is my street address so everyone knows who's providing free broadband internet service.

I doubt it's due to a TV antenna, since it's the wrong frequency...

You are legally resposonsible for any one usiing your iternet connection. It also violates your service agreement with your ISP. If someone using your Internet connecton host kiddie porn or downloads music or video you can be sued or be put in jail. You cannot say I did not know, It is nice to be a nice guy, but be aware of legal implications, I am not saying do not do it, just be very careful.
