Is it very hard to add static dhcp to Hyperwrt?

Hi, I like Hyperwrt firmware, it has some nice features on top of the original linksys firmware, however there's no addition of static dhcp. Most of the other brands like netgear and dlink have this features in their stock firmwares and linksys doesn't, WRT54G is probably the most hacked router you can get but there isn't a single firmware (hacked) which gives good speeds and static dhcp. So, what i'm asking is that will we see something that gives good wireless speeds and support static dhcp at the same time?

For me this is the only thing I would add to HyperWRT.

Maybe we could email linksys (several hundred times) asking them to add static dhcp to the offical firmware, then Average would just use that source code for his build.
