Is Linksys Router Stable Enough?

I would download files using bittorrent and play online games. Because I play online games, I really need a STABLE router that would not drop connections.

I used linksys router before, and it drops connection and need to be reseted every 2-3 days, and that really make me feel nervous.

Would I get a STABLE connection if I update another firmware? Or is there any recommendation which router I should use?

Some firmwares are more stable than others, but the beauty of the 3rd party firmware is you can adjust it to suit your needs. I had trouble with my WRT54gs disconecting before I switched to 3rd party firmware.
