Is my router dead ?

I have an HP-G54 that I tried to flash with Tomato. I would LOVE to try to flash it with dd-wrt but the router seems to be screwed up.

    1. I can access the web via hardwire to my desktop and by wireless G with my laptop.

    2. I can't access the web administrator interface at 192.168.11.1 with either the desktop or the laptop. I have rebooted everything: computer, router, modem many times. I have pushed the reset button on the router many times.

    3. I can't install the Buffalo software via the CD that came with the router as it eventually craps out with "could not connect to air station".

    - I have no idea why I can connect to the internet the way this is... Also, the windows XP system tray icon with the networked computers and the yellow ball rolling around interminably states that it is acquiring a network address.

    Can this be fixed?

Does your router have a switch on the bottom? If so try the IP of 192.168.11.100 as the switch may be in the alternate position.

unless you've changed it, the default ip should be 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1, I've never seen one with 11.1, anyways, if you're connecting to the internet with it... it's not dead

I have the Buffalo router above and I do believe the default IP is 192.168.11.1

If the flash was successful, wouldn't the IP now be 192.168.1.1?
    ...I just guessing, I have a linksys.
