    It is WRK54G V2
Suddenly I could not get internet access .
Here is what I did :
Connect the Router only to a desktop with checked cable ( WIN XP SP2 )
Try to ping – no response
Reset the Router ( more then 15 sec. ) – no response ( Power DNZ VLAN and port #1 it lit )
Checked the TCP/IP setting – according to the book

Try all this on two different hosts

    Is the Router dead !!!???
    Help PLS

are you using default IP addressing scheme from the WRK? is your computer obtaining a valid IP or is it possibly set to static in a different subnet?

    Thanks for the answer
I don't know how to check what you specified
But I can get access to the net when my computer is connected directly to ADSL modem
Can you be more specific – how to I check the setting

Tell us your network settings. Get to a Dos prompt and type ipconfig /all

I would first off recommend putting xxx.xxx for the first 2 numbers on the ipconfig post, most here are helpful and "good" folks, but there are some that pass through that would do all they can to try to get into your equipment.

Do you use pppoe, if so what device is running the app? your machine, the router? Also can you connect to your router and post an ipconfig/all from there. With that one it wont matter if you leave everything intact. Once you check that and it shows 192.x.x.x then check the status page of the router and see if you are getting an ip from the wan connection.

I am running PPPOE from my machine , the problem is that I can not get any connection with the router
For the security warning that you mention – thanks….but I can't change the posting now

Maybe a forum manger can ?

Is my IPconfig is O.K. ?
