Is QOS active within the LAN?

Is QOS active within the LAN (devices on same subnet) or does it only applies to uplink net traffic? I want to give highest priority to my HDTV Ethernet Tuner - http://www.9thtee.com/hdhomerun.htm - this device does not stream anything to the Internet, just to clients on my local network (both wired and wireless)...

I am running Thibor 16b on my main SL (QOS enabled), 15c on GS (no QOS, WDS link)...

    Thanks in advance...

the network should easily have enough bandwidth for streaming apps without the need for QoS. you could always add ebtables to the sources and recompile, although saying that, you are wanting to stream hdtv over wireless? good luck with that

Actually, one HD stream over wireless is working great with your firmware in my setup - I know others have problems, but I believe they are using stock firmware or have not set up their wireless network properly. Two HD streams over wireless is another thing, but I don't need that. The HDHomeRun has two tuners and can send two streams at a time - one tuner will stream to my PVR (HDHomeRun and the server running my PVR app are wired to the SL), the other tuner is available to any local client.

I would like to prioritize the HD stream over others (like when I copy my media files to my NAS and/or media server. Even with wired 100 Mbps, copying large files while there are two HD streams may cause problems - I think prioritizing the HD Stream(s) would be beneficial in this situation. I'm more concerned with prioritizing the HD Stream over wireless - I'm sure this will have to be addressed in the future when Wireless-N becomes the norm....

    No biggy....

The HDHomeRun latest firmware does support 802.1p QOS tagging - I think this would only be available in higher-end routers....
