Is signal boosting firmware available for WRT54G v5?

Just picked up v5 of the WRT54G and am having problems getting a signal throughout my house. I've seen many third party firmware upgrades that allow signal boosting for earlier versions of the router, but can't find one for v5. Does anyone know of a firmware that will boost the signal on my v5 router?

There is no such firmware yet. However it's easier for you to replace the stock antenna. A directional antenna would be the answer for your problem. You don't have to spend a fortune (altough I bought the HighGain Linksys Antennas of 7db each), look here:

It is most likely that you would never find third-party firmware for v.5. The Linksys firmware is based on VxWorks so the source is not published by Linksys or any other company. The only option is to shrink in half original Linux based firwmare. It is somewhat unlikely that it can be done.
