I bought another WAP54g and i decided to put the Sveasoft Freya v2.06-1sv firmware on it.

The problem is now i cant get to this unit. the IP address before the flash was 10.1.15.4 but now i cant ping it or even get the web interface up. its like its lost.

after i could not connect i decided to push the rest for 30 secs.

i can now see the default linksys wifi connection but i cant connect as it wont distribute an IP address and i have tried setting my own but its like shotting in the dark.

What ip would it default to. how can i connect to it.

    Thanks for any help

Try the default IP Address of 192.168.1.245? You can do a hard reset and try connecting to it through a wired connection.

What would be the subnet 255.255.255.0??

what do you mean by a hard reset. is that a case of holding down the rest button for 30 secs....

    Thanks

Yes the default subnet is 255.255.255.0. Yes a hard reset is holding the reset button in for at least thirty seconds. It is recommended that you, use the web setup interface and reset the WAP54G to factory defaults and do the flash of the firmware through a wired ethernet connection. Allow the WAP54G to complete the firmware upgrade for at least thirty seconds after you get the confirmation of the firmware update and then power cycle the unit.
