Any help would be greatly appreciated with this, I've searched but found nothing similar to the problem I'm experiencing. If there is anything I can do to fix this I'll try it as long as it doesn't void the warranty. I have a WRT543G3 router that I use with a Huawei e620 pcmcia card on vodafone Ireland's 3G network. Initially the router worked fine, but some updates on the network were causing drops so I stopped using it briefly. I kept the router on and was using the wireless network at home without any problems. When I replaced the pcmcia card the router ceased up. The wireless signal drops and on an XP machine linked with an ethernet cable it loses the IP address and reverts to a default address and I get the 'limited or no connectivity' message. Once I take the pcmcia card out everything starts working again. The card works fine in my laptop - the sim card works in both the card and a phone. I downloaded the latest firmware from the linksys site and installed it. And I've reset the router a few times, but the problem persists. I contacted linksys support and got a reply telling me that "The WRT54G3G would work best with the following cards from Vodafone - 1. Colt, 2. Quad and 3. NovatelU630". That doesn't help me much because I had no option with Vodafone Ireland but the huawei card, and it also doesn't explain why the router used to work but now doesn't (incidentally, nowhere have I been able to find official Linksys information saying that this router will not work with Huawei cards). I have sent an rma to the retailer, but if there is any way I can get the router back working (again, without voiding) I'm willing to try it. Any advice, or help, regarding this is greatly appreciated. Also any advice on dealing with Linksys support would be great too. Thanks in advance.
