    Hi,

A friend of mine just got an internet connexion with the french provider Numeo:
    http://www.numeo.fr/

She got a linksys WRT54G from the ISP. But it looks like it is modified so that you can't change any settings! The only web interface available through 192.168.1.12 doesn't allow any changes, just a few very rare informations.
So it seems it is not possible to open a port, use NAT...a.s.o
On the Numeo web site, there is just a word about that, telling that if you want something more concerning settings, just contact them! Everything concerning "authorized" download is otherwise possible, it is their words!

Can i do anything to have access with the settings? Of course without interferring with the provider internet connexion. Or they really locked up the settings (with a home made firmware?) and it is almost hopeless so?

As long as they are not doing anything goofy with the connection you could set it back to factory defaults and log in to see if you have access to more stuff. If not you could try to upload a different firmware via tftp. One other thing call them and ask them if you can supply and use your own router if you choose. If they say yes then they are doing nothing goofy with the connection and if you can load another firmware you should get it to work.
