I have been a member here since Feb 2010 and learned a lot about router, firewall and tomato. I have had, RT N16, AC 56U, RT N12 with tomato firmware installed and enjoyed playing around with configurations and different builds and tomato had been smooth sailing for me.
For last few months I was using TP Link Archer C7 AC1750 with gargoyle and that had been stable also.

Recently I got gig fiber internet and my current router was not capable of going the max and I started looking for options.
I came macros $50.00 EdgeRouter and Mikrotik router. I tried both and both routers are very powerful and I get very close to 950 mbps up/down. These routers are also somewhat customizable to my needs. Only catch is I needed a wireless access point since these are wired routers. I used my 56u as access point for few days and finally got an ubiquiti Unifi AP AC lite. So Far I am very happy and satisfied plus the it's stable.

I never really contributed much here in the forum but always came for solutions and absorbed so much. Thank you all here, devs who spends countless hours for something they love to do and folks here who just want to help rookies like me.

Here's a pic of my unifi access point.

I started using Tomato from Victeck's Tomato RAF and since a few years with Shibby but finally I did the same. I replaced my old e4200 for an Edgerouter Lite and lately I added an Unifi AP.
