iTunes connection dropped with WRT54G

    Hi all,

My iTunes drops connections after listening around 2-5 minutes to the share on my iBook when I'm connected to it across two networks.

    The setup is like this:
iTunes server (daapd, under NetBSD) is on a local network (IP 10.0.0.3)
I have a Linksys WRTG54 (v5, unfortunately) as a wireless router connected to my gateway (thompson speedtouch). The server is connected to the same gateway. The client is an iBook G4 w/ OS X 10.3.9 and iTunes 6.0.4

When I hook up to the gateway with a wire (10.0.0.4), it all works perfectly fine, so there is no problem with daapd nor my iTunes client.

I use Network Beacon (http://www.chaoticsoftware.com/ProductPages/NetworkBeacon.html) so I can see the share across networks. Disabling howl for daapd and simulating the Rendezvous announcement through NetworkBeacon also works when I'm connected to the gateway, so the problem is (probably) not in NetworkBeacon.

Now, the disconnect problem happens when I connect my iBook to my Linksys WRT54G (wired or through wifi, doesn't matter) (it gets IP 192.168.1.100) I can still access my share, but after listening for 2-10 minutes (the time is quite variable) it craps out. iTunes just stops and doesn't play any longer. The share is still listed in iTunes under "source", and I can simply reconnect to it and continue listening.

Of course, having to reconnect every time is *very* annoying. Is there a way to find out how/why my Linksys is causing this problem?

Yes, I tried with the latest firmware (1.00.9) and resetting
