What are you trying to do? Static IP on LAN?

    DNS=Domain Name System
This translates internet web names to IP
    i.e. linksysinfo.org=208.109.21.97
Depending where you are a DNS server should be something like 4.2.2.3 or whatever your ISP has designated.

Save yourself headaches and use DHCP.

    /---PC1
    WAN---ROUTER w/DHCP----+---PC2
    \---PC3

    Otherwise you need something like

    Router WAN DHCP, LAN 192.168.0.1
    PC1 192.168.0.100 Gateway 192.168.0.1 DNS 192.168.0.1
    ...
    PC3 192.168.0.102 Gateway 192.168.0.1 DNS 192.168.0.1

    Spoon feeding...

Must be one of those MCSE pro's...

MCSE Exam Question 123.a. NETWORKING PROBLEM: Your client is running Novell 3.4.x intranet and has 3 computers running Windows 95 for data entry using DOS based Clipper database program. The client has asked for a new HD to be installed on one PC. What do you do?

    a) recommend install new Windows Server 2000 with a 20 seat license
    b) throw away outdated PC's and recommend buying all new machines with Windows Vista and DHCP
    c) initiate upgrade treadmill with automatic service packs and security patches to secure your employment for next 10 years. Put in requisition to hire second MCSE after 6 months to help with work load.
    d) all of the above
