Hey... It's better than going on a 2 week binge because that is where this router is taking me. And I'm not cruel enough (yet) to flog it on ebay.
I lose my WAN ip all the time (daily) and can't renew ip unless I reboot etc etc etc etc etc etc etc. I even have a shortcut on my desktop to the admin page to reboot it.
I lost my palm pilot and broke my laptop so the wireless is disabled right now.
I plan to keep going to the next firmware from linksys ftp site until this thing can properly renew the wan ip.
    Moocho grass e is

could it have anything to do with me being on fddi ? there is a cat5e run from the buildings basement to our unit. just a rj45 jack in the wall. I have been meaning to test it on a cable or dsl connection. so far so good though cept now my pop and smtp settings don't work. Nor can I access my isp's homepage. Hmmmm, free internet?

Uggraded from 2.03 to 2.10 on April 29 at about 9am.
As of ~11pm that evening.... lost the WAN ip.
I'm back on 2.03. Maybe when I have my sanity back I will go to a newer firmware vs. back down to 2.03 or maybe flash em all starting from 2.03

Yes it was only 2 days on 2.03 so maybe I will leave it at that for a week.
One note: I was able to send/receive email on 2.10 with outlook express.
'did they work with the newer firmware'? No, this has been going on for nearly a year. Last firmware I had was that beta 2.39 which didn't help.
I should start a blog. Nah.

There's a beta firmware 2.39 out now? Interesting. I just upgraded from 2.37.13 to 2.38 and have been up for one week exactly without "any" need to reboot and my LAN has been fine. The issues I've noted from other folks has been problems with "the wireless cards" and not always the hardware device. I was giving 2.38 grief until I went back and checked my configuration at the machines (wi-fi cards). I noticed an error on my DC which occurred because I forgot to disable the onboard card which was making everything sluggish and killing my DNS. After disabling the second NIC, everything is humming!!

2.38 seems to have better wi-fi communication anyway. If you haven't done so, try running a free dynamic dns (www.dyndns.org), static ip, or both (I use both) and see if that helps because the tandem of those two give me excellent connection. Hey, my uptime is 175hrs over PPPoA and counting with no reboots, so something must be working!!!
