I'm running DD-WRT V22 prefinal 5 on a v3 in client/bridge mode. The WRT talks to a SMC2804WBRP-G. Everything works great except for Kai.

I've activated Kaid in administration and I have added my xbox's MAC. XBMC as my username/pw in memory and i'm pointing to my WRT's IP address.

Kai is not working with that setup. I'm curious to know if anybody managed to make this work in client/bridge mode?

Do i have to modify my kaid.conf ?

    Thanks for your time.

I have had the same problem as well. But my main router is a WRT54GS v2.0 w/ v22 of DD-WRT and my client is a WRT54G v3 using the latest version of DD-WRT. I had it working before, but that was using a standard D-link 802.11b WET.

Just be real anal about your settings.

    1. Verify you mac address.
    2. Remember to put a semi-colon at the end of your mac address @ the Kai setup on your router.
    3. Make sure your router can access the internet ... in other words, verify static ip settings if you have it setup for static ip.

(Usually that is all that is needed router side.)

    4. In XBMC (Xbox Media Center), in the settings menu, there will be an option to enter your 'Tag' and 'Password' . I enter my name and password to match any CaSe SeNsITiVe requirements going on.
    5. Make sure your Kai Engine is pointing to your router's address -- default

    * If working correctly, after a power off then a power on (just in case), a new 'i' icon will appear next to the power icon and the python script icon ... after waiting a few seconds, you should be connected to the kai server.
