Hi , I just learned about hyperWRT today (kinda of a newbie) and loved it and got into it right away,
Altough a few terms came into mind, I was wondering if there is a way to Make the wireless range larger, not much just a couple of meters,
I saw that transmit power and was wondering if that had anything to do with it, And what happens if we crank it up to 100%..
Thanx , any help would be appreciated

There are a few past posts related on this topic it is related to increasing transmit radius. For the most part, you should not need to set it at 100% as this will also make your signal dirtier.

A forum search will turn-up very good information related to this.

    Range? Add Antenna

If you're looking to extend the range of your accesss point, increasing the power output slightly, or adding higher gain antennas would achieve this.

I prefer to remove the stock 2.2dBi antennas while replacing them with 5.5 dBi gain antennas from Sharper Concepts:

Replacing the antennas does not have the trade off that increasing the power output does. More power means "dirtier" signal in that the noise increases, too.

adding deflectors to the antenna will give a boost as well.
