Limit access to port 80 to specific external IP addresses

Discussion in 'Networking Issues' started by DamnIHateThat, Apr 25, 2006.

  1. Hi, my old router is a D-Link 713P and it has something called "Inbound Packet Filter" where I can enter specific external IP addresses that are allowed to access internal IP/Ports. I think I also set up the port forwarding to the same internal IP/Port. This allows me to deny access to port 80 to everyone who's not listed.

What is this feature called in my WRT54GS V2? Is there a specific firmware that might allow me to do what I want?

Sorry for the stupid question, but I couldn't find anything about packet filtering in the search.
