link aggregation / port trunking / *whatever-you-call-it* on WRT54GL v1.1

    Hey guys,

Does anyone know how to do link aggregation on a WRT54GL v1.1 with either dd-wrt or any other firmware? I mean link aggregation, not load balancing. I have my 6Mbps + 5Mbps + 5Mbps connection comming out of 3 different RJ45 cables, and I'd like to plug them all into my WRT54GL (like in port 1, 2 and 3), then connect my port 4 to a switch / computer / *whatever* and have a 16Mbps connection.
Is all of this possible? If yes, how?
If it isn't, would it be possible to have like traffic using port 1-1000 going through port1, traffic using ports 1001-2000 goign throught port2 and traffic using ports 2001-3000 going trhought port3 (for instance)?

    Thank you for you advice!

    Peter

Good question, what needs to be known first is this a "switched" connection on the lan side or a "routed" connections off the wan? Reason being in a basic sense "link aggregation" is usually implemented on a swithced network between 2 devices running a link aggregation protocol i.e. port channel, etherchannel etc. Wan side is generally balanced as each link would have an ip. Now back to you exact question, i do not know if its possible with dd-wrt as i have not read anywhere that it is a feature. Though depending on the device you are connecting too you might possibly beable to get creative with vlans and vlan trunking.
