Does anyone know how to get a Linksys 4-port router (BEFSR41) to work with a D-Link DCS-1000W wireless webcam?

    Thanks! ](*,)

    Let me elaborate.
I can get the webcam to work on my network, but I cannot access the webcam from other computers. I want to be able to access my camera from different locations. Any ideas?

The DLINK DCS-1000W contains its own webserver interface.
I have a similar Veo product.

To access the webserver, you need to type in http://192.168.1.X (the ip address of the camera). Through the config utility you will likely want to assign the camera a STATIC address.. so that it won't change.

When it comes to "other locations"... I assume you mean external locations. Depending on what else is in your network, you can forward port #80 to the STATIC address of your camera... There might be several other ports that will also need forwarding for proper communication.

If you are also using port80 for another device, you can most likely reconfigure the DLINK camera to use an alternate port (81). I configured my Veo cameras with 81/21 and 82/22 etc and forwarded the approprate ports to the right STATIC addresses.
