Hi, sorry I'm new to these forums and I'm not sure where to really post this question.

I have a question about setting up wireless with a Mac PowerBook G4 notebook and a linksys wireless router. (Model BEFW1154 V.2)

I downloaded the newest firmware for it give by the tech admin from linksys. I have a PC that currently hooks up via a network cable to the internet and it works fine. When I plug in the notebook with a wireless cable I can access the internet without any problems. But when it comes to wireless issues occur.

I goto the airport system and goto internet connect and it shows that there is a connection. It also picks up the linksys router name and shows it's strength. The problem is when you read what it says for status it says "status not avaliable" Ulitmately I have no connection. But, when I punch in the IP of the router in a web browser (using IE) it can pick up the router and it asks for the username and password. Of course you can't modify any settings since I set it up so only the PC is able to. There is no password encryption.

I only found 1 site that had a solution to this answer but it was a pay site and I don't really trust those sites.

Any help would be great. Thanks!
