    Hi everyone,

    I have just bought these but im having some trouble. Ive set up the modem which conects to my ISP fine, ive then run an RJ45 from the modem into port 1 of my WRT54G. Thing is everything works fine apart from port forwarding. Now personly i thought i would have to put the RJ45 into the Internet port on my WRT but when i do everything is blocked and i cant access the internet. Im realy stuck here and dont know what to do. is it ment to be in the internet port or 1 of the switch ports..?

    Modem = 192.168.1.1
    WRT54G= 192.168.1.2

    if your modem has a 192. ip it's probably got a router built in, if thats the case you need to setup port forwaridng on the modems router rather than on your WRT... You should be plugging it into the internet port however if the modem actually has a router in it and you just want to use the WRT as an access point you can plug it into port 1 without any worries... if itt doesn't have a built in router you should not plug it into port 1.
