I was considering one of the Linksys products as a platform for a network appliance. Does anyone know what Linksys/Cisco's attitude would be toward re-programming one of it's devices and reselling it as something else?

I don't know their standpoint but Sveasoft is pretty much re-selling their stuff, so I imagine you could get away with a similar thing...

There is a company reselling the WRT54G as an outdoor wireless access point with enclosure.

I don't think Linksys will care. Just make sure comply with the GPL ;)
