Hello everyone. Just a quick introduction... I have just purchased a WRT54GS v1 router day before yesterday without knowing much about it. (It was the right price, and I saw the Cisco symbol and got excited, tbh!) I've just put the latest HyperWRT firmware on there and it's all running OK. I like the idea of being able to add functionality to a router (makes it all more worth while having it). I am pretty new to all of this and I am finding it quite daunting. It's like there is far too much information to take in at once. I had found some Linksys firmware emulators which I thought some people might find interesting... or perhaps, you all know about these and ignore me anyways... http://www.chetnet.co.uk/ems/linksys.htm It seems to have quite a lot there. I just thought I'd share what I came across late last night... I was wondering if someone could point me to any "Back to Basics Newbie Guides" that I can read in order to learn about all these different firmware and how to make the most out of them; like installing other packages. I really want to get something called KaiStation (http://www.teamxlink.co.uk a few articles down on their homepage) installed on my router with HyperWRT. I found a guide here: http://www.teamxlink.co.uk/forum/vi...hyperwrt&sid=4661dea9763ca40ee6bb6b40d6745003 but that looked FAR too scary for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Koops.
