does anyone have any links to useful sites showing custom modifications to linksys routers?

i am searching for methods to increase signal strength between two wireless routers currently running in WDS mode.

The WRT54G and WRT54GS wireless routers have custom that allow you to increase power output. HyperWRT has the least modifications ans is closest to Linksys firmware and it is free. You can find a forum at thie site. You can get ist at http://www.hyperdrive.be/hyperwrt/ . If you need other enhancements such as making it a repeater or bridge and are willing to pay twenty dollars the checkout the Sveasoft Satori firmware forum at this site.

If you are currently using WDS then you may already have Sveasoft firmware, so you can increase the signal strength trough the Wireless advanced settings, there are plenty of threads about this.

You could also get better attennas than the standard ones or use a easy to make reflector for the client antennas: http://www.freeantennas.com/prod01.htm
