I've been unable to get a concrete answer out of Linksys... I'm going to be purchasing a WRT54GS, and intend to use the Parental Controls. I'm planning on using the HyperWRT firmware. I understand that I can restrict the hours my children can use the internet. What I WANT to know is, can I grant access for a large block of time, say, 5:00pm to 11:00pm, BUT restict them to a floating 2 hours? That is, once they've been on for a total of 2 hours, will they be prevented from further access? If so, great! If not, what suggestions does anyone have for accomplishing this? Thanks!
the parental control is basically to stop your kids going online and surfing to unwanted (porn) sites etc.... access restrictions is another feature which only allows a certain period ot allocation to the net etc. this feature is already built in all wrt54g/gs but linksys have yet to fix this feature as many cannot get it working correctly.
