Linksys WIP330 Setup Help

I just received my new Linksys WIP330 IP phone and in reviewing the setup I came across several areas that I could use some help on.

I know all the SIP hardware settings but Linksys uses terms I am not sure of and how they relate to the terms that SIP phone uses.

The Linksys setup asks for the following information in the order that I have listed.

    Proxy IP address
    Proxy Port number
    Register Proxy IP address
    Register Proxy Port number
    Outbound Proxy IP address
    Outbound Proxy Port

SIPphone says these are the correct settings:

    SIP Server: proxy01.sipphone.com
    Domain: proxy01.sipphone.com
    STUN Server: stun01.sipphone.com
Incoming UDP ports 5004,5060 must be open.
    Optional Settings:
    NTP Server: ntp01.sipphone.com

The terminology is different, can someone translate the two sets of settings so I can setup the WIP330.

    Thanks very much

Got it working once I got into the web setup and found that some of the terminology on the web pages was different than the ones used on the phone. I copied the web setup pages below and listed the settings I used, note that the UDP port and the RTP ports are set to different settings do to the fact that I have more than one SIP hardware device on my network.

    (Page Heading) SIP Settings
    SIP Proxy Setup
    SIP URI SIP: 17476619199@ proxy01.sipphone.com: 5060
    SIP Proxy: proxy01.sipphone.com
    SIP Proxy Port: 5060
    Registrar Address: proxy01.sipphone.com
    Registrar Port: 5060
    Expiry Time (sec.): 3600
    Authentication
    Registrar Name: 17476619199
    Registrar Password: *************

    (Page Heading) NAT Settings
    Outbound Proxy Setup
    Proxy Address: proxy01.sipphone.com
    Proxy Port: 5060

    (Page Heading) SDP Settings
    SIP-SDP
    Payload Type: G.711u( 0 ), G.729( 18 ), G.711a( 8 )
    Packet Time: X Small Large
    DTMF Relay: Disable
    UDP Port: 5062
    RTP Port: 5006

Also, the Payload Type order can be changed, it's a drop down menu that allows you to change the order but these are the only Codec’s that are offered.

Thanks for posting that, Bill. I was having the same problem. On the Aptela service, a few more translations:

    Registrar Name: username.groupname
    Registrar Password: lOngCaSEsensitivEsipPassw0rd

and the WIP330 Default login info (http://wip-ip/) is:
    username: admin
    password: admin
