I purchased A WRT54G v6 yesterday and my dual 1.8 powermac g5 doesn't not get an IP address assigned. My dell laptop connected just fine. I've done the firmware update, restarted the router & my g5 numerous times, I attempted to manually assign the IP, netmask and gateway with no luck. My g5 will connect to my old dlink router just fine.

    Any ideas?

What security are you implementing on your wireless network?

Sorry. Didn't realize it's an Apple desktop (not an Apple fan myself).

Have you tried a different LAN cable? On very very rare occasions, I have come across a LAN cable working with one network device and not with another.

Presumably you have tried all LAN ports on the router as well.

What about the TCP/IP parameters on the Apple... how are they configured?
