    Hi
I have the linksys WRT54GL v1.1 recently flashed to the latest tomato firmware ...... it was working good ..... then on one time i had browsing issue .......... i thought it was from my ISP or the switch am getting the internet from ............... several time this issue happened so i called the isp and told them they said they had no issue regarding internet connectivity............. then I started to realize that while i was facing this stall when surfing the web amsn and xchat was always on, meaning that I am still connected to the internet ...... so i switched back to my older router tp-link the issue is gone .....
Anyone have had the same issue as me or is there a fix for this one.
    Thank you in advance

You should first try to pin point the issue, try to ping www.google.com and see if you get an answer, if not then it might be a DNS issue, resolve this by setting the DNS manually in the router to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 (google's DNS) and see if the issue is resolved.

It may be the firmware is corrupted. I would try to re-flash the firmware. For the WRT54GL V1.1, Victek's Tomato RAF Firmware v1.28.8515 _RAF ND Std provides rock solid stability and performance. http://victek.is-a-geek.com

After re-flashing, go to the Administration/Configuration Menu. Then choose Restore Default Configuration, and choose Erase all data in NVRAM memory (thorough). Click OK and Ok. This will erase any leftover bad data. You will need to re-enter all your settings. HTH
