I have not long had my router & to be honest when i installed it i just bumbled along till it worked (doesn't sound good does it). But we've had it in a relitively useable state. Both computers are running Windows XP, we have WEP security as my Belkin ethernet game adaptor won't allow WPA/WPA2.

Question 1, At the moment my signal strength goes from good-low. Normally its excelent-very good. I can't understand this? If was fine up to about 3 days ago. Could changing the channel sort out this problem?? ** Sorted now, i changed the channel & its back up to speed **

Question 2, i want to be able to split our NTL 2mb connection so 1mb will go to my computer (over wifi) & the downstairs computer will get the other 1mb so we both get a decent service & don't sap each other of bandwidth. Is this possible.

Question 3, i want to be able to specify our own ip's but for some reason when i turn of DHCP it won't allow me to. I get an ip error message.

Thanks for any help guys, & btw hello, i'm new (if you hadn't noticed)
