    All,

The Linksys WRT54GX on paper has just about every feature I want however, If I am only going to use it with a WIFI enabled Dell D600 (54G) then will I be wasting money? Would a cheaper Pre-N model without the MIMO be just as good?

You will see some improvement in range and throughput, but not as much as with a SRX card. Note: the WPC54GX will not function in a Dell D600 unless they have changed the PCMCIA adapter. The computer freezes when the WPC54GX is inserted. See the review of the WRT54GX at: http://www.tomsnetworking.com/Reviews-189-ProdID-WRT54GX.php The Dell D600 usually comes with a Intel Proset 2200BG, whose drivers must be upgraded to the latest generic version from the Intel website to work well with Linksys routers.

Thanks for that detailed answer - I will have to do more research.
    Thanks again.
