    The situation has deteriorated!!!!

Now EVERYTHING on Linksysinfo.org redirects me to MySevgi.net

MySevgi.net appears to belong to a Turkish Internet paramilitant group (just kidding)

Only able to access site by .....

I had to block the IP address of the offending site in my sygate personal firewall software.
I run a router to protect from incomming threats and also a software firewall to block page hijacking like what's occurring....

The domain mysevgi.net is actually hosted in California. :x

    Info here: http://www.whois.sc/mysevgi.net

If you want to do some more digging, this is a great site.

    Cheers,

PS. What a jackass! Why would some idiot hijack a networking site to a dating site or whatever the hell it is????

I don't know why - but I think I've taken care of everything and no one should even notice anything went wrong. We will be making sure security is tightened so that this doesn't happen again.

Of course, as my girlfriend pointed out, we should be flattered that we were apparently an important and visible enough site to get hacked!

The forum appears to have been "fixed", but the front page at www.linksysinfo.org is still being hijacked.

    Very bad when newcomers visit.

Despite toxic's efforts, I'm still being redirected once I'm logged in. It doesn't do anything if I come to the front page of the site as a visitor/guest.

I have tried using 2 other computers, neither had been here before. There was no redirecting until after I logged in.

I can roam around in the forum forever without being redirected, but when I visit http://www.linksysinfo.org/ and http://www.linksysinfo.org/index.php :(

    I am not amused.

Incidentally, that site drops 2 cookies onto my hard drive - one belonging to MySevgi.net, the other belonging to IYI.NET, which CookieWall has been instructed to remove immediately.

are you using any type of proxy cache?

Proxy has been disabled on all the computers I tried.

I tried using Mozilla 1.7 and FireFox 0.8, they also redirected me after I logged in

A whole-hearted thanks to Simon for his unrelenting effort and time spent on this.
My browser has finally stopped being redirected after having been advised by him to adjust my settings for this site.
