Hello, I have a WRT54GL with tomato firmware 1.20 installed. Is it possible to log external IP addresses as they change so I can exclude them from analytics reports and similar? If not is there any software you could recommend for either linux or windows that could do this? Thanks in advance.

I have this in my "WAN UP" script to add the IP to the log every time it changes

    Code:
logger "WAN Up: New IP address is $(nvram get wan_ipaddr)"
Also any upnp client has the ability to ask the router for its WAN IP address.

as mentioned in this thread, i wrote a perl-script called twrc which probably also should work with tomato v1.20 (tested with v1.21 and linux).
if you call this script without any parameters, it returns the wan-up status, if you call "twrc.pl --ip" it returns the current ip (0.0.0.0 if not connected).

the solution proposed by mstombs seems somewhat more elegant to me for your purpose...
