How do I get this router to log incoming events.
I have enabled logging, and get outgoing, but not incoming, unless I oen the DMZ and set it to a random IP. Also, who do I use a third party log viewer to recieve the log from the router.

    Use LinkLogger.

    I have been told... verify??

I have been told that "Unfortunately the WRT54G does not support log forwarding through SNMP traps, hence it is not supported by the current version(s) of Log Viewer. When a third party firmware is used the WRT54G may forward log entries using syslog (iptables style)." (http://svs.sv.funpic.de/forum/viewtopic.php?p=259#259)

    Could someone verify this...
and if third party firmware would allow this SNMP trap functionality, then which ones...? What are some recommended third party firmware.(Sveasoft?)

Are the Sveasoft Alchemy more secure than Linksys firmware?

Is the firewall stronger on the hacked versions of the firmware, or is there possibility of a bug that could be exploited because of all the extra functions, or could there be backdoors in it?
