Looking for help setting up Access Restrictions on WRT54GS

I want to set up the access restriction to only allow my son access through his wireless connection during certain times of the day. I have gone in and selected 'allow' and keyed in 9am - 9pm, however at 9:30pm he still has access. The time zone is correct on my set up page. One rep told me to put HTTP as a blocked service, but then my son could not get online at all. Any help in this would be greatly appreciated!

I'm having the same problems with my WRT54G v1.0. It looks like the time of day settings on the Linksys firmware doesn't work.

I'm going to try dd-wrt over the weekend and see how that goes.

Deny use during the hours that you want him not to have access. Try 2 entries, one denying from 930PM thru 1155PM and one from 0005AM thru 0900AM

I've tried using the deny but it isn't working for me. I was online with Linksys for about 2 hours the other night and didn't resolve anything.

The weird thing is that the deny option used to work. Then about a month ago it stopped working. After trying everything I could think of I finally upgraded the firmware to 4.20.7, but I still have the problem.

Reading these posts, and having tried most of what has been suggested myself, I have come to the conclusion that time-of-day access restrictions on the WRT54G simply does not work.
Last night at approx. 10:30pm I removed the Allow 6am to 10pm policy and added two Deny policies, one from 10pm to 11:55pm and one from 12am to 6am. I was still able to access the Internet just fine. And this is with the latest 4.20.7 firmware.
If someone out there knows the secret to get this working please let us know. Do we have to reboot the box? (Although I've tried that). Do we have to put in the specific MAC and/or IP addresses of the PCs? (I've tried that as well).
Does anyone know if time-of-day access control works in any of the alternatives to Linksys (D-Link maybe?)?

I had it working on my WRT54GSv2. No reboot was required. I used the MAC address of one of the PCs on my LAN and configured it to deny access between certain hours within a 24hr period daily. I was using the latest Linksys firmware. I don't have that Linksys online at this time.

I used to have it working a while back with an earlier version of firmware (3 something). But since upgrading I could not get it to work.

The other night I switched to the latest dd-wrt version which has this working. With all the other options available, it is definately worth the update.

    Time-of-day access restrictions

I got it working! By using a deny policy only and entering the Ethernet addresses of the hosts to be restricted, the router (WRT54G running 4.20.7 firmware) does block access to the Internet at the required time. Previously I was attempting to use an Allow policy in addition to the deny policy which may have been affecting it (haven't had the time to do a whole bunch of testing), or perhaps I entered the Ethernet addresses incorrectly(?).
