Yeah like the topic says looking for a better antenna that will work with my GL. Can someone link me to a website on where I can get one or a local retail store.

^ that site doesn't really help out cause I have no idea what to get. Are all these antennas compatible with the router or do I have to do some modding? PLus I'm not looking for a super powerful antenna that can broadcast all over my neighborhood. Just a step above the stock ones

Also forget the Local retail chain.

Your GL has an RP TNC connector for antennas (http://books.google.co.za/books?id=...X&oi=book_result&resnum=3&ct=result#PPA123,M1). Your GL also runs in the 2.4Ghz to 2.5Ghz (commonly known as WLAN) band.

Thus, you get an antenna for the WLAN band, with the right connector, and then you choose whether you want an outdoor or indoor antenna. Then you choose among an omni, which looks 360deg. in the horizontal all around itself (like the rubber duck antennas that the GL come with), or whether you want a directional antenna, that looks at say 180deg. or 90deg. or less in the horizontal.

Once you have chosen that, you select the antenna with the lowest VSWR (Voltage Standing Wave Ratio).
