I'm new to the NSLU2. After formatting my Maxtor 750 GB drive to EXT3 I noticed only 705 GB were usable. Is this normal? Where is the rest?

Also, I tried upgrading the FW from r63 to r73 and it went all crazy on me. I saw the r76 posted in a thread from a personal ftp: the other day but couldn't download it because I was at work. Now I can't find the thread. Can you point me to in the right direction.

Thanks. I was able to get my "slug" up and running after some exhaustive searches here. A lot of info. available. Thanks.

The rest is lost in the confusion between decimal gigabytes and binary gigabytes. Your harddisk is about 750 billion bytes which corresponds to about 698 binary gigabytes.

I think R76 is available from the linksys website. I can't reach it right now so I can't paste a link here.
