    Help Please
I did have my laptop working fine with my wireless modem router WAG54GS.
Somehow I messed the setting when making a dial up connection at another location and now my wireless connection at home doesn't work.

    IP CONFIG on laptop says:

    Connection Specific DNS suffix :
    IP Address . . . . . . . . . . :169.254.244.173
    Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . :255.255.0.0
    Default Gateway . . . . . . . :

On my main Pc which is working says:

Connection Specific DNS suffix : WAG54GS
    IP Address . . . . . . . . . . :192.168.1.100
    Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . :255.255.255.0
    Default Gateway . . . . . . . :192.168.1.1

I have both pc settings as detect automatically.

    I'm stuck.

My first choice is to always try the simplest things first...... sometimes they actually work :)

    Try opening IE>Tools>Internet Options
    Click on the Connections Tab
    Select "Never Dial A Connection"
    Apply>OK

Then on main IE screen click on File> make sure theres no checkmark beside Work Offline

    Try going to a webpage

My wife has exact same issue occassionally and thats the fix that works for me

    Good Luck

Thanks but thats not the problem. It's already set to never dial a connection.
