I have a WRT54GS router and a WUSB54GP adaptor. I set this up with the router about 60 feet from PC with adaptor. I had 54Mbps of bandwidth. I had a problem with a second PC that was only getting 1Mbps and thought it might be the adaptor so I swaped them. That did not fix the problem but when I swaped back I now only got 1Mbps on the PC that had 54Mbps earlier. I moved the router next to the PC with the router and adaptor about 1 foot apart. I get excellent signal strength but still only 1Mbps BW. I ran Netstumbler and at 4 feet apart it shows about -50bB signal loss. Anybody have an idea what the problem is?
