Lynksys Replacement for Westell 327W

I'm new here, and this may not be the place to post this, but here goes anyway:

I have Verizon DSL (only telco available here); I got the Westell Versalink 327W as part of the package. I'm not thrilled after six months. I'm looking to replace the modem (not add on, just replace); keep the Westell as a backup.

What Linksys product(s) do I want? An all-in-one would be nice, but it doesn't look like there is such, so maybe I need two different boxes, which would be ok.

My desktop is wired, my notebook is wireless, and I want to let visiting friends and family access with their portable devices. (Although I am concerned that maybe this will cause them to stay longer! <vbg>)

I just have no idea what to look for. Except I want a relatively trouble-free connection even if I'm brain-dead.

Specific model recommendations would be appreciated.
