    I have a WAG54Gv2 (fw 1.01.05)

I can't connect in any awy to www.macromedia.com

It's not depending on my OS (winxp and knoppix), my browser (firefox, ie, ob1, konqueror), my DNS (same dns are being used by friends with the same isp and they works fine) or my security options (I tried with firewall down)

It's the same with any pc of my network: I can't view and neither ping www.macromedia.com
    My tracert:

    A tracert from my friend:
Any idea to fix the problem?

I don't think there is anything wrong... Just look at the times that the server takes to respond... your friend has times that are in the 2000's milliseconds whereas you are have pings in 50's millisecond.

The only reason I can think of why you aren't getting through is to do with the TCP/UDP time-out setting on your router. Macromedia is quite a way from Italy (I believe that's where you are connecting from).

I am not sure if the official Linksys firmware has a setting to adjust the timeouts. That's what you need to do to fix it.

Set the timeouts higher and try to connect again.

I think your friend must be experiencing severe network lag because 2000 millisecond resonse time is 2 SECONDS and since there were 16 nodes there, I'm guessing your friend took 32 seconds to get any response from the Macromedia server. So no, you dont' want to model your setup on your friends' setup  .

    Good luck.

Works fine for me (with 1.01.22) !
Probably a DNS trouble. Try to force the DNS of your provider...

    thank you both

unfortunately I can't see anything to adjust my TCP/UDP TimeOut Settings

and, HiSpeed, do you use annexA? Because I use annexA fw and the last one I found it's 1.01.05, not 1.01.22!

I'll install it as soon as possible (maybe this evening) and I'll post the results!

    EDIT: are they official releases?

They're official in the sense that they are written by Linksys but are not on general release, i.e. you won't find them on the Linksys website. They would have been emailed by Linksys tech support to someone and then uploaded to this site. You have to treat them as beta releases, much like all Linksys firmware
