    Hi everybody.
This is my first post here on this forum and I do not know if you are able to help me out, but I hope for the best.

I have no linux experience and am not good with commands and writing software code.

    The problem is:

I am living at a dorm where we have to log on to a firewall to access the internet. We have a small Windows utility for this but I wish to get my WRT54GL to keep this connection if possible.
For Mac or Linux users it states that "pseudo tty-less connections" must be established. Take a look here:

I have no clue what that means but I was hoping that it should be possible to establish this kind of connection with the WRT54GL router.

Can anybody tell me if this is even possible with this router and how I can do it if possible?
Remember that I have no skills so please be kind and use terms I can understand :)

    Regards Martin

I have now flashed my router with Tomato firmware 1.06.

This has ssh included and both a GUI and telnet options.

Using telnet I was able to use ssh and logon to the firewall for my dorm. But I need to know how to maintain the connection as it states is necessary.
