Medium-size network with WRT54GS

    Hello!

I need to plan a mixed network for my company... we need wireless in 3 offices, my choice are LinkSys WRT54GS, as access point and 4-port switch (we need to connect some devices, as printers, wired and that linksys product seems good as it can works as AccessPoint and ethernet switch). Is it a good choice? Or better to buy a simple access point and a small ethernet switch?

Other question: is there a way, without a RADIUS server, to share security settings (like MAC Address filters, WPA-PSK key...) between my 3 ap? Or have I to replicate settings manually?

Final question: one office is very wide (about 50m x 50m), so I think I need an external antenna: which one do you suggest? Which connector does that switch have? Can I keep one of the two small antennas and connect an external one?

    Thanks!

the router is an inexpensive solution that should work great. get 2 of them and set up wds at each end of the office and it will work perfect.

there are many alternatives as far as firmware go on this box also which add a fair degree of "configurability" to it.

imho they are stable and reliable and I would recommend them to anyone.

just make sure you get a v4 or below and not a v5 it is not gud:)

there are guides on how to tell which version you have without opening the box.
