Most stable Tomato mod for WRT54GL

  1. My WRT54GL v1.1 has been unstable as of late, losing Wi-Fi and requiring reboots at least once a week on Tomato 1.28.

So now I'm on a journey to find the most stable firmware in the land.

I did a bit of searching and came up with "Tomato RAF Firmware v1.28.8515 _RAF ND Std" or "Tomato RAF 1.28.121006", both by Victek, being the most stable, but I can't find either on Victeks site, the only one I see there is "Tomato_RAF_1.25.8515.2-ND", which I installed in the meantime.

Which Tomato mod is the most stable? The only thing I care about is stability, I just want my WRT54GL to route Wi-Fi and wired internet without crashing.

Oh and if you could provide download links with your recommendations, that would be much appreciated.

I have a WRT54GL running Tomato Firmware v1.28.7625 -Toastman-ND ND Std which has been up for 201 days.
It's a wifi AP, it's on UPS, and provides access to several wireless clients. Its only wired connection is to another WRT54GL, which in turn is connected via WDS to a "main" RT-N16.

Tomato Firmware v1.28.7634 Toastman-IPT-ND Std has been very stable for me. When my wnr3500l took a crap, I was able to swap my old wrt54g running this firmware into the main router use with no real issues. It ran for quite a while till I could get a new 3500l to put back in its place.

The ONLY reason I did not stay with the WRT as primary unit was the lack of multi-SSID support. But that it a hardware limitation on the version 2.2 I have. Your GL may be able to use even that.

I currently use the WRT as a WDS endpoint and it has been ultra stable for me without ever crashing.
