    Hi There,

I am planning a hotspot network in a moutain village in France. The problem is, that most homes are only reachable after 3 hops.
I am thinking of using the following setup:
    DSL-Modem - Cat5 - WRT+18dBi - 3,5 km free fresnel - 18dBi+WRT - Cat5 - WRT+12dBi - 2 km direct line of sight - 12dBi+WRT - Cat5 - WRT+7dBi omni - 1 km direct line of sight - 12dBi+WRT - Cat5 - WRT+7dBi omni - 100m - Client WiFi Card.

Is there any reason to worry about speed losses because of the many hops?
I am hoping for transfer rates between 10 and 20 mbit depending on the weather and pings clearly below 100ms.

I would use DD-WRT on WRT54gl. Are there any special settings I have to consider besides using non-colliding frequencies?

    Thanks a lot in advance,
    Peter
